The calendar may have flipped to a new year, but our product momentum didn’t take a winter break. January’s updates are all about starting 2026 with cleaner workflows, stronger signals, and a more consistent experience across assessments and interviews.
This month, we’re highlighting four key updates from the CodeSignal Product and Engineering teams:
- Create an AI Interview directly from assessment creation page
- Send interview invites & receive results in Workday
- Proctoring status and results are now easier to find
- New technical Certified Assessments
Create an AI Interview directly from assessment creation page
Launching AI interviews just got simpler.
You can now create a CodeSignal AI Interview directly from the assessment creation page, eliminating extra steps and setup time. When you click “Use” on an AI Interviewer, CodeSignal automatically creates a new assessment using the interviewer’s recommended duration, question set, and title - so you can go from setup to a candidate-ready AI Interview in just a few clicks.
Candidate emails have also been updated with wording that works for both traditional assessments and AI interviews to ensure communications with your candidates are clear and consistent, regardless of the type of assessments you’re using.

Send interview invites & receive results in Workday
If you use the Workday ATS to send and manage your CodeSignal assessments, we have good news. We’ve expanded our Workday integration to support live technical interviews as well, making it easy to send interview invites and review results all within Workday. Recruiting teams can initiate interviews directly from their existing workflows, while hiring managers can access both assessment and interview results where they already spend their time.

Proctoring status and results are now easier to find
Do you use proctoring for some or all of your CodeSignal assessments? In the Results tab for each assessment, you can now quickly see proctoring status for all candidates at a glance. We’ve also added a new proctoring status filter, making it easy to drill down into results that are pending, verified, rejected, unavailable, or not proctored.

New technical Certified Assessments
We’re starting off the year with two new Certified Assessments designed for some of today’s most in-demand technical roles:
- Kubernetes Administration Assessment. Ideal for platform engineers, DevOps engineers, and infrastructure-focused roles, this assessment evaluates candidates’ ability to manage, configure, and troubleshoot Kubernetes environments.
- AI-Assisted Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) Assessment. Built for teams hiring engineers working with advanced AI systems, this assessment measures a candidate’s ability to leverage AI tools to design and reason about RAG-based solutions. It’s a great fit for applied AI, machine learning, and backend engineering roles operating at the frontier of AI-assisted software development.
You can check out these assessments via the Assessment Explorer. Simply go to Assessments → Create and search for the assessment you’re looking for.
