This month's theme: more capable tooling and even stronger security. September brought a redesigned coding environment into beta, smarter assessment authoring with Cosmo, and meaningful upgrades to account protection.
Highlights
- A redesigned coding environment enters beta. Our new IDE for live interviews is now in beta with select customers. Interviewers can follow a candidate's work in real time, see run and submit updates as they happen, and work in a cleaner, refreshed interface.
- Author quiz questions on the fly with Cosmo. When building an assessment, Cosmo can now generate quiz questions for you in the moment, so you can create content without breaking your flow (available to users who can create questions for their organization).
- Stronger account security. Passwords are checked against known data breaches, and you can review the active devices and sessions signed in to your account, giving your team more visibility and control over access.
Assessments & Hiring
- AI interviews, one question at a time. AI interviewers ask a single question at a time for a more natural, focused conversation (applies to newly created Conversation questions).
- Questions overview for candidates. Assessment-takers can now open a questions overview from any question page, making it easier to see what's ahead and move between questions.
- Authenticated Greenhouse report links. Assessment report links shared through the Greenhouse integration can now require authentication, adding a layer of protection for candidate results.
- Improved proctored assessment integrations. Completed proctored assessments now send a single verification event to your webhooks, so connected systems receive exactly what our documentation describes.
Questions, IDE & Simulation
- New IDE for live interviews, in beta. The redesigned interview coding environment is open for beta testing with select customers, featuring real-time participant following, live run and submit updates, and interface refinements.
- Python 2 phase-out has begun. We've started deprecating the Python 2 programming language. We recommend moving any Python 2 content to a currently supported version.
Platform & Security
- Breach-checked passwords. Account passwords are automatically checked against known data breaches, helping prevent the use of compromised credentials.
- Active device and session visibility. You can now see the devices and sessions currently signed in to your account and stay on top of who has access.
- More detailed audit logging. Audit logging is now more comprehensive, supporting stronger security and compliance oversight for enterprise teams.
