In this article, we describe the steps for creating a new AI Interviewer Assessment in CodeSignal.
1. Log in to CodeSignal and from the Assessments tab, click + CREATE.
2. Click Select under “AI Interviewers”
3. Here, you can create a new assessment with an AI interviewer using one of these templates.
You can filter interviews by your Favorites, Roles, Recommended duration, and Types.
4. Once you select the desired interview, click on the blue Use icon to create an assessment.
5. Enter an Internal Title for the assessment and adjust the Duration. This is the amount of time that test-takers will have to complete the assessment once it has begun.
6. You can add additional questions from our question library by clicking + Add a Question Slot.
By default, we will show you all questions. From here, you can filter questions by Question types, Created by, Labels, Coding Formats, Average solve time, Formats, and Coding language. You can also filter by questions that you have previously selected or favorited by toggling on Selected or My Favorites.
7. Once you have identified a question that you would like to include in your assessment, click on the + icon in order to select it. To proceed, click Next at the bottom right of the screen.
8. To delete the selected question, toggle on the Selected filter and click on the check box icon.
Note: for more information about randomizing the questions in each question slot, see the following support article:
9. Limit Solutions By Language
You can limit solutions to your question to a specific language or multiple languages. By default, all languages available for a given question will be selected. To narrow the languages in which developers can write solutions, unselect Select All and choose your languages of interest.
10. Assign Slot Score
Additionally, on this page, you can also assign a specific score to your question. By default, coding questions are worth 300 points, but you can increase or decrease this score as you see fit.
Click Next to save your selections and add more questions as you see fit.
Best Practice: For the best test-taker experience, we recommend including 2 or 3 coding questions within a 90 minute assessment.
11. Configure Your Assessment
In order to configure your assessment, you have these options:
