Here is what to expect when you are invited to participate in an interview on CodeSignal. Prior to starting, please make sure to review our recommended browsers and devices for the smoothest experience.
Step 1. Click the interview link that has been shared with you. You will be prompted to enter as the Candidate or Interviewer. Click "I'm the candidate" to proceed to the login page.

Step 2. How you access your CodeSignal interview will depend on whether or not this is your first time using CodeSignal.
If you have not used CodeSignal before, enter as a guest by filling in your email address and name, then clicking ENTER AS GUEST.
NOTE: If you previously logged into CodeSignal as a guest, you will not be able to log in as a guest a second time. A temporary account was created for you upon your previous visit, so please check your email inbox for your temporary password and follow the instructions below to log in as a returning user. If you have difficulty logging in, click on Forgot Password to reset your password.

If you have used CodeSignal before, click Log In to proceed. You will be prompted to log in using your existing credentials.


Step 3. If you have not been provided an additional conferencing link, click the Video Call icon and choose Join call now to start an audio/video conference call with your interviewer(s).
To select or switch selected audio/video devices click on Call Settings.

Step 4. To start the code writing portion of the interview, the interviewer will select a coding task for you to solve. Before you begin coding, feel free to adjust your IDE settings by choosing your preferred language, IDE theme, editor type and formatting settings.
Once your IDE is customized to your liking, you can code away!
Step 5. Click the OPEN WHITEBOARD button at the bottom of the window to switch from our state-of-the-art IDE and unlock your creative potential with our feature-rich whiteboard.

Step 6. After the interview, you may be prompted to leave feedback about the interview session. This feedback is optional, so feel free to leave your comments. We hope you have a great experience!
Please note that once the interview is finished, you will not be able to edit any of your code.
