Overview
This article describes the timeline and possible paths for what happens after a CodeSignal company user invites a test-taker (or test-takers) to take a proctored CodeSignal assessment, such as the General Coding Framework (GCF).
Timeline
Step 1: Send an assessment invitation to the test-taker.

Step 2: The test-taker takes the assessment OR chooses to share an existing score for the verified assessment within 14 days of receiving the invitation.
If the test-taker does NOT take the assessment or share an existing result within 14 days, the invitation will appear under the EXPIRED tab in the dashboard for the certified assessment in question.
Step 3: After the test-taker completes the assessment, CodeSignal reviews the assessment session to ensure the test-taker provided the necessary identification and followed the rules for the proctored session. CodeSignal verifies the result within 1-3 business days.

Step 4: After CodeSignal reviews a result, there are 2 possible paths:
A. The result is verified
B. The result is not verified
A. If a result has been verified, it will appear under the RESULTS tab.
B. If a result is not verified, it will appear in the PENDING tab. You will see a status of Not Verified to the right of the test-taker's coding score.
Hover over the Not Verified status to see the reason the result was not verified.
Note: A non-verified result will eventually expire and move to the EXPIRED tab.

Common reasons a result may not be verified include:
- Test-taker was not alone in the room during the assessment
- Test-taker got up from their seat during the assessment and exited the camera's view
- Test-taker used other devices during the assessment
- Test-taker used an external IDE
- Test-taker searched online for help (other than syntax-related searches)
