Create a New API Key

To create a new API key, first navigate to the [Integrations] menu in your organization's CodeSignal dashboard. Then, select [API Keys].

Note: You need admin privileges to create or manage API keys for your organization.

This opens the [Manage API keys] page.

1. Create a new API key by clicking the [ADD A KEY] button.

2. You will then be prompted to enter a description for the new API key. Be sure to write something that describes what you will be using the API key for.

3. Then, select the permissions to make available for the new API key. For security reasons, we recommend selecting only the minimum amount of permissions for your needs.

4. Click [SAVE] to save your new API key.

Once saved, the new API key appears in the list of API keys. It will be immediately active and ready for use.

Manage Existing API Keys

Edit an API Key

To edit an existing API key, click the edit icon to the right of the API key you want to edit.

Make any necessary changes, then click [SAVE] to save your changes.

Delete an API Key

To delete an existing API key, click on the trash icon to the right of the API key you want to delete.

You will be prompted to confirm if you are sure you want to delete the selected API key. If you are sure, click [CONFIRM] to delete the API key. Be careful! This action cannot be undone.
