All candidates must follow the rules that are listed prior to beginning the assessment.
If we detect any unusual activity, such as plagiarizing solutions or other violations of the rules, we will not be able to verify your results. The most common reasons an Assessment Results are not verified are:
- Not being alone in the room
- Getting up from your seat during the assessment so that you exit the camera’s view
- Using other devices during the assessment
- Using external IDEs
- Web searching for help (other than syntax related searches)
You may retake the GCA in CodeSignal after 14 days have passed since your last attempt (180 days for other certified assessments), provided you receive a new invitation from another company.
Note: Rules can differ per test. The screenshots below highlight differences in the rules for the JavaScript Core Assessment and the General Coding Assessment (GCA).
