Companies who use CodeSignal Tech Screen may choose to customize the default subject line, email body, and timing of the email they use to invite candidates to take a CodeSignal Tech Screen.
From your CodeSignal company dashboard, navigate to the Tech Screens Tab and select the framework whose invitations you would like to configure.
Click the 3 vertical dots in the top right corner.
From there, click on EDIT.
Here you will find 3 tabs: Design, Settings, and Email.
Under the Design tab, you have the option to customize the following:
- Candidate-facing title
- The message that candidates see before their Tech Screen sessions
- The message that candidates will see after their session
The Settings tab allows you to configure the following:
- Describe your tech screen (not visible to candidates, only internal team members)
- Assign which company team owns (for example: Recruiting team)
- Default sender (select yourself or another member of your team)
- Associated time zone (for example: America/New_York or America/Los_Angeles)
- The expiration date (the amount of time before an invitation expires)
Using the Email tab, you can customize the following elements for your email invites:
- Template name, which will be visible to other CodeSignal users at your company
- Subject line, which can include variables using {{curly bracket}} notation
- Email body, which can also include variables using {{curly bracket}} notation
You also have the option to customize the email reminders that are automatically sent to your candidates with pending invitations to take a Tech Screen. You can customize these following elements for your email reminders:
- Number of reminders: 0, 1, or 2
- Timing of when to send reminders, defined by number of days after the invitation was sent
- Template name, which will be visible to other CodeSignal users at your company
- Subject line, which can include variables using {{curly bracket}} notation
- Email body, which can also include variables using {{curly bracket}} notation
Here, you can also customize the expiration email that candidates receive once their invitation expires. To edit this copy, click on Expiration Email.
Once you customize the messages to your liking, press the green Update button in the top right corner.
